The fear of being stranded in an emergency prevents some commuters from participating in vanpooling arrangement. Emergency Ride Home programs address this problem by providing rides home in case of emergencies.  Valley VanPool participants can be covered in one of two ways by Emergency Ride Home programs.

Lease Company Provided Emergency Ride Home:  Companies that provide leased vanpools usually also provide an Emergency Ride Home.  Talk to your driver for details or contact a Valley Vanpool Representative.

Employer Provided Emergency Ride Home:  Many employers provide an Emergency Ride Home program, talk to your Human Resource Department or Personnel Dept.  If they don’t, ask them to call the local rideshare agency to help set one up.

For additional details on Emergency Ride Home, contact a Valley Vanpool representative at 1-877-VAN-GOGO or e-mail ridemanager@cwride.org
